We’re all horrified by the thought of catching an infection in hospital; and reducing healthcare-associated infection (HCAI) is a high-profile NHS priority. Our client’s skin preparation system had been shown to play an important role in preventing infections if used correctly. The company needed to demonstrate the value of its product, ensure best practice technique was consistently used, and boost the uptake of national guidelines.

Working with our client and a task force of Infection Prevention specialists, we developed a simple, evidence-based audit to support good practice and reduce the number of infections. The audit pack was endorsed by the Infection Prevention Society and the UK Lead for ANTT (Aseptic Non Touch Technique).
